Dr. Jayaram’s dental clinic in Mysore, India offers root canals to help patients save teeth that have been damaged by infection or trauma. A root canal is a procedure that removes the infected or damaged pulp from the inside of a tooth. The pulp is the soft tissue that contains the nerves and blood vessels of the tooth.

When is a Root Canal Necessary?

A root canal may be necessary if you have:

  • A deep cavity that has reached the pulp of the tooth
  • A cracked or chipped tooth that has exposed the pulp
  • An abscessed tooth (infected tooth)
  • A tooth that has died due to trauma or infection

Symptoms of a Tooth that Needs a Root Canal
